Having deep roots in traditional music, this young band has a love for the musical styles that evolved from old time, blues, and bluegrass. Their original work reflects this heritage with a modern interpretation.
Guitarist, Nate Moody, from the Boone area, grew up steeped in mountain music. Nate has a degree in Music Education from Appalachian State University, and over ten years of classical ensemble performance. He is a lead guitar player and has received several accolades for his Bluegrass playing over the years. Most recently, he placed in the Seagrove Fiddlers Convention for both the band and guitar competition.
Vocalist and songwriter Rebecca Hart grew up in a Bluegrass and Gospel-playing family. She has followed in the footsteps of her historian grandparents and enjoys sharing the music of the past with the present generation. Some of her recorded music has been featured in film for PBS and the Appalachian Regional Commission.
Fiddle player and multi-instrumentalist, Jake Moore, has been playing the Bluegrass circuit since age 6. He has recorded three albums and played MusikFest, MerleFest, Nashville Guitar Festival, Dollywood, Robert’s Western World in Nashville, The Summer NAMM Show, OBX Music Festival, Appaloosa Festival, IBMA showcase and countless other shows across the East Coast.
Sawyer Whitman, our banjo player, has accumulated several awards in banjo competitions including Raymond Fairchild Junior Banjo Competition, Mount Airy Banjo Competition, and the Happy Valley Fiddlers Convention Banjo Competition.
